We take a look at the area's top 30 volleyball players, continuing with numbers 20-11.

If you remember last season — and how could you forget — the area’s volleyball scene provided plenty of drama and an abundance of success as usual.

Between the SVC, SOC, FAC, SHAC, OVC, MSL-Buckeye and TVC, the seven conferences within SOSA’s coverage reach, seven different programs earned district titles.

But en route to those postseason finishes, there were plenty of individual performances to rave about, multiple records broken and tons of matches that won’t soon be forgotten.

As for this season, we expect much more of the same. But before it happens, for the sixth straight year, we’ve decided to compile a list of the coverage area’s top 30 players. It was an absolute bear to do so, but we think we’ve got a list of 30 athletes who are the absolute best at their craft.

Remember, this list only includes players from within SOSA’s coverage area and it isn’t an end all, be all. We encourage discussion, and giving our athletes the recognition they deserve is always our mission.

20. Kerrigan Hill, Junior, Zane Trace

2025 statistics: 177 kills, 38 aces, 5 blocks, 333 digs, 30 assists

Hill spent her sophomore season showing how versatile she was, and it helped the Pioneers claim 19 victories and a district runner-up finish — a four-set loss to New Lexington, who was the DV state runner-up. It’s understandable to expect her to take a huge leap forward this fall.

19. Brailee Hauswirth, Junior, Huntington

2025 statistics: 333 kills, 41 aces, 24 blocks, 176 digs, 14 assists

Hauswirth has the unique ability to take over a match at any time she feels the need to do so. She’s a tough block at the net, evidenced by her 333 kills last fall, and she’s growing as a defensive player, evidenced by her 24 blocks and 176 digs. She’s got a huge year ahead of her.

18. Katelyn Queen, Senior, Valley

2025 statistics: 55 kills, 31 aces, 26 blocks, 198 digs, 705 assists

Over the course of the past two years, Valley has become relevant as a program. Queen has played a huge part in that. While leading her Indians to a district title last fall, Queen also tallied her 1,000th career assist. She’ll enter her senior year with 1,190 assists, looking to play add-on.

17. Macy Whisman, Senior, West

2025 statistics: 296 kills, 18 aces, 55 blocks, 25 digs, 5 assists

Whisman’s 6-foot frame allows her to play high above the net, and she routinely used that to her advantage as a junior. Her team-high 296 kills helped West stay afloat last fall and her .273 hit percentage was far and away the highest mark on the team. She’s poised for a huge season.

16. Kinslie Well, Junior, Eastern Meigs

2025 statistics: 32 kills, 32 aces, 11 blocks, 150 digs, 766 assists

After collecting a district title last fall, Eastern Meigs graduated exactly no one. Needless to say, the Eagles will be back and better than ever this fall. Well will run the show. In just two seasons, she has amassed 1,092 assists. With plenty of weapons around her, that number will only grow.

15. Kerigan Davis, Junior, Minford

2025 statistics: 286 kills, 44 aces, 15 blocks, 320 digs, 26 assists

As a freshman, Davis was a solid contributor for her Falcons. As a sophomore, she blossomed into the team’s go-to player. While leading Minford in a host of statistical categories, including both kills and digs, she took the next step as a leader. She’ll continue that journey in 2026.

14. Kinzli Batson, Junior, Unioto

2025 statistics: 62 kills, 28 aces, 28 blocks, 173 digs, 761 assists

Unioto has a long history of incredible setters. Batson put her name on that list as a sophomore and now looks to further her resume this coming season. Her 761 assists put her at 902 in her career and helped the Tanks win 18 matches. She’ll be Unioto’s unquestioned leader this fall.

13. Aubree Frazier, Senior, Gallia Academy

2025 statistics: 318 kills, 23 aces, 7 blocks, 90 digs, 4 assists

Put simply, when Frazier gets a set her way, she’s as dangerous as they come. Her .312 hitting percentage led the 24-win Blue Angels last season and her 318 kills were also a team-high. If you’re looking to beat Gallia, you game plan around Frazier. And that’s easier said than done.

12. Kendyl Christman, Senior, Valley

2025 statistics: 325 kills, 39 aces, 6 blocks, 197 digs, 18 assists

While the Indians went on a district title run last fall, Christman solidified herself as a household name. Her 325 kills and .318 hitting percentage were each team-highs as she routinely gave opposing defenses fits. She’ll do more of the same this fall, searching for her 1,000th career kill.

11. Lauren Guess, Senior, Miami Trace

2025 statistics: 351 kills, 59 aces, 28 blocks, 181 digs, 17 assists

When the game was on the line and the Panthers needed to steady the waters, they looked to Guess. She answered every single time. Her 351 kills helped Miami Trace finish 17-7 overall and win a district title — the program’s first-ever. She’s well worth the price of admission.
