14 area players earn first-team All-Ohio baseball honors, multiple others grace list

The OHSBCA has released its All-Ohio baseball honors.

COLUMBUS — The Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association released its All-Ohio baseball lists on Monday and a number of players from SOSA’s coverage area earned their spots.

Leading the area’s honorees are Wheelerburg’s Brady Doss and Circleville’s Glavine Bigam in Division IV, Portsmouth’s Trevin Brooks and Jacob Roth, Minford’s Mason Bradley and Valley’s Nolan Barnett in Division V, Waterford’s Braun Doak and Hayden Jones, and Symmes Valley’s Tanner Corn in Division VI, and South Webster’s Hunter Barnard and Jacob McGraw, Green’s Jon Knapp, Notre Dame’s Luke Cassidy, Trimble’s Bennie Warren in Division VII — all of whom earned first-team honors.

In Division III, Jackson’s Ryan Seimetz and Miami Trace’s Gage Bowers earned a spot on second-team, while Athens’ David Sharp and Miami Trace’s Cooper Enochs and Austin Brown earned themselves honorable mention honors.

Joining Doss and Bigam in Division IV was Waverly’s Kage Alexander and Fairfield Union’s Cameron Silcott, both of whom made second-team, while Waverly’s Braylon Spriggs and Xander Toler, Logan Elm’s Camden Ebert, Gallia Academy’s Beckett Camden and Fairfield Union’s Ashton Waldrop made honorable mention.

Alongside Brooks, Roth, Bradley and Barnett in Division V was Valley’s Carson Powell, Minford’s Max Lauder and Ty Borland, Amanda-Clearcreek’s Nick Holland and Zane Trace’s Gunnar McCullough all made second-team, while Lynchburg-Clay’s Elam Foust, Quin Wells and Kristian Beachy, Northwest’s Aidden Armbrister and Levi Shepherd, Amanda-Clearcreek’s Breece Stone and Wellston’s Braxton Ingalls carved out a spot on honorable mention.

Doak, Jones and Corn were joined on the Division VI list by Southeastern’s Carson McWhorter and Gage Cheadle, and Huntington’s Troy McDonald, who made second-team, while Symmes Valley’s Andy Strow, Paint Valley’s Preston Fauber and Eastern Meigs’ Clayton Moore made honorable mention.

Lastly, joining Barnard, McGraw, Cassidy, Knapp and Warren in Division VII was Whiteoak’s Izayah Clift, South Webster’s Brycin McClintic and Benaiah Andrews, and Notre Dame’s Sawyer Rutman, who made second-team, while South Webster’s Easton Large, Clay’s Noah Woods and Green’s Gabe Blevins made honorable mention.
