PORTSMOUTH — The Southern Ohio Conference released its all-league basketball honors on Tuesday and multiple familiar names headline the lists.

Eastern’s Boston Webb, Green’s Jon Knapp and West’s Will Kegley have earned Player of the Year honors in their respective divisions while Green’s Abbie Knapp — Eastern’s Laken Gullett and South Gallia’s Ryleigh Shafer, who shared the honor in the SOC II — and Waverly’s Paige O’Bryant earned that right on the girls side of the things.

Defensive Player of the Year honors were earned by Eastern’s Carson Peters, Notre Dame’s Garrett Barbarits and Green’s Uriah Satterfield — who share the honor in the SOC I — and South Webster’s Hunter Barnard and Waverly’s Kage Alexander — who are the SOC III co-DPOYs.

On the girls side, Wheelersburg’s Ava Artrip, Clay’s Emma Emnett and South Gallia’s Gracyn Cremeens are the Defensive POYs.

The SOC’s Coach of the Year honors went to Eastern’s Ethan Leist, Clay’s Larry Howell and Notre Dame’s Josh Oudeh — sharing the honor in the SOC I — and the SOC III’s tri-Coach of the Years in West’s Caleb McClanahan, Valley’s Craig Tackett and Wheelersburg’s Alex Prater.

As for the girls Coach of the Year honors, Green’s Melissa Knapp, South Gallia’s Corey Small and Wheelersburg’s Dusty Spradlin have earned that title.

Here’s a complete list of the SOC’s all-league basketball selections:

SOC I

The SOC I’s first-team all-league list includes Knapp and teammate Gabe Blevins, Notre Dame’s Zion Boerger, Bryce McGraw, and Garrett Barbarits, Clay’s Evan Rider, Ironton St. Joe’s Barrett Waginger and Carson Willis, New Boston’s Wyatt McNeil and East’s Lindon Williams.

The second-team all-league selections are Notre Dame’s Archie West and Kenady McGraw, Green’s Uriah Satterfield and Brennan Renison, Ironton St. Joe’s Eli Whaley, Clay’s Noah Woods, New Boston’s Julian Brady and East’s Tanner Baughman.

As for girls hoops, joining Knapp and Emnett with first-team honors are Green’s Elizabeth McBee and Laney Strickland, Clay’s Sophia Craft, New Boston’s Justina Williams and Arenda Gosselin, Notre Dame’s Jaysa Bryant and East’s Natali Hoskins.

Green’s Addison Blizzard and Ava Abrams, Clay’s Maddie Penix and Ava Demorest, New Boston’s Mya Truitt, Notre Dame’s Sophie Phillips and East’s Hailey Hall are second-team selections.

SOC II

Joining Webb with first-team SOC II honors are teammates Aiden Werner and Eric Manley Jr., Northwest’s Brycen Montavon and Carson Christian, Symmes Valley’s Bronx Carpenter and Logan Simpkins, Western’s Josiah Satterfield, Oak Hill’s Mason Malone and South Gallia’s Carson Stowers.

Second-team honors go to Eastern’s Cade Leist and Carson Peters, Northwest’s Aiden Armbrister and Jake Brown, Symmes Valley’s Asher Maynard and Western’s Foster Davis, Oak Hill’s Will Morgan and South Gallia’s Caleb Frazzee.

As for the girls, joining Shafer and Gullett on the first-team list is South Gallia’s Jacie Boothe and Sharla Hammond, Eastern’s Liberty Ward, Symmes Valley’s Brenna Tibbs and Lydia Saunders, Oak Hill’s Alyssa Whitt and Northwest’s Danielle Johnson.

South Gallia’s Gracyn Cremeans and Lyla Swain, Symmes Valley’s Aly Haydon and Navaeh Holbrooke, Eastern’s Kenleigh Bapst, Northwest’s Audrina Brewer, Oak Hill’s Addy Brown and Western’s Jillian Stewart are second-team all-SOC II honorees.

SOC III

The SOC III’s first-team all-league list features Wheelersburg’s trio of Braylon Rucker, Landon McGraw and Hunter Bivens, Valley’s Christian Copen, Blake Lundy and Braxten Conaway, West’s Kegley, Logan McIntire and Corbin Miller, South Webster’s Brycin McClintic, Waverly’s Kage Alexander and Minford’s Ashton Reeder.

Wheelersburg’s Xavier Miller and Jack Doerr, Valley’s Jaxsyn Bender and Jalen Dunham, West’s Cristian Quirasco and Braden Adkins, South Webster’s Hunter Barnard, Waverly’s Landyn Russell and Minford’s Colt Donahoe.

On the girls end, the first-team list includes Artrip and teammates Jaylinn Prather and Callie DeHart, O’Bryant and teammate Sadie Royster, West’s Brayleigh Pistole and Macy Whisman, Valley’s Katelyn Queen and Ella Thompson, South Webster’s Addi Claxon and Minford’s Kerigan Davis.

The second-team list features Wheelersburg’s Peyton May and Myles Bailey, Waverly’s Taryn Gillot and Calli Knight, West’s Hailey Carver, Valley’s Brooke Riehl, South Webster’s Ava Claxon and Minford’s Lainey Howard.
