PEEBLES — The District 14 Coaches Association released its all-district girls hoops honors on Tuesday and a group of familiar names headlined the list.
In Division III/IV, Unioto’s Milee Smith was named the D-III Player of the Year while Logan Elm’s Kiannah Ingram was tabbed with that honor in Division IV.
Portsmouth’s Sienna Allen was named Player of the Year in Division V.
Meanwhile, South Webster’s Addi Claxon is the POY in Division VI while Green’s Abbie Knapp repeated that honor in Division VII.
Here’s a look at the complete list.
DIVISION III/IV
Joining Smith and Ingram with first-team honors in Division III/IV are Circleville’s Addison Edgington and Maddie Blakeman, Hillsboro’s Tylee Davis and Kobie Miles, McClain’s Paisley Pryor, Unioto’s Keyairah Beard and Miami Trace’s Gracie Lovett.
On the second-team list is Waverly’s Paige O’Bryant, Logan Elm’s Kimmy Petty, Unioto’s Maggie Holbert, McClain’s Leah Lovett and Washington’s Bobb Racine.
Honorable mention accolades were earned by Miami Trace’s Ali Reeves, Hillsboro’s Annia Young, Logan Elm’s Palynn Wray, Circleville’s Brooklyn Cramer, Waverly’s Sadie Royster, McClain’s Larah Henson and Washington’s Peyton Hughes.
Unioto coach Jeff Miller and Washington coach John Denen were named the Division III co-Coaches of the Year while Logan Elm coach Mike Shultz was named the Division IV Coach of the Year.
DIVISION V
Alongside Allen on the first-team list in Division V is her teammate Keke Woods, Adena’s Marly Halcomb, West’s Brayliegh Pistole, Piketon’s Laila Kelley and Eastern Brown’s Sophia Uhl.
Second-team honors were earned by North Adams’ Tenzlee Burns and Emma Pistole, Southeastern’s Gracie Brown, West’s Macey Whisman, Piketon’s Jaylin Forbes, Minford’s Kerigan Davis and Huntington’s Braliee Hauswirth.
Making the third-team list is Southeastern’s Reese Ruckel, Wheelersburg’s Jaylin Prather, Zane Trace’s Emma Houston, West Union’s Madison Stout, Portsmouth’s Hayven Carter, Westfall’s Adrian Moehl and Huntington’s Tori Smith.
The honorable mention list is highlighted by Adena’s Josie Mallow, Huntington’s Taylor Tisdale, Minford’s Makenna Enz, Northwest’s Danielle Johnson, Southeastern’s Rowan Ruckel, Piketon’s Reese Shanks, Portsmouth’s K.K. Mays, West’s Hailey Carver, Westfall’s Reese Baughman, Eastern Brown’s Olivia Uhl, Wheelersburg’s Peyton May, Zane Trace’s Haylynn Boggess-Pierce and West Union’s Annabelle McIntosh.
Piketon coach Jason Taylor has been named the Division V Coach of the Year.
DIVISION VI
Joining Claxon on the first-team list in Division VI is Eastern’s Laken Gullett, Fairfield’s Rilee Quickle, Valley’s Katelyn Queen, Lynchburg-Clay’s Lily Ferguson, Paint Valley’s Karris Dye and Ripley’s Brooklyn Manning.
In the second-team group is Lynchburg-Clay’s Joselyn Rockey and Adilynn Carraher, Peebles’ Kendall Myers and Alyssa Smalley, Valley’s Ella Thompson, Ripley’s Raquel Hackney, Fairfield’s Meri Jackson and South Webster’s Avary Claxon.
Gracing the Honorable Mention list is Valley’s Brooke Riehl, Fairfield’s Vivian Henninger, Eastern’s Liberty Ward, Lynchburg-Clay’s Ava McLaughlin, Paint Valley’s Whitney Utz, Peebles’ Paysen Shiveley, Ripley’s Calle Fultz and South Webster’s Violet Edwards.
South Webster coach Ryan Dutiel has been named the Division VI Coach of the Year.
DIVISION VII
Alongside Knapp on the first-team list in Division VII is Clay’s Emma Emnett, Manchester’s Hayden Ridout, New Boston’s Arenda Gosselin and Whiteoak’s Kyra Boyd.
The second-team list is made up of Notre Dame’s Jaysa Bryant, Alayla Soard and Sophia Phillips, Green’s Laney Strickland and Elizabeth McBee, and New Boston’s Justina Williams.
The honorable mention list is made up of Green’s Ava Abrams, Manchester’s Maddie Easter, Clay’s Sophia Craft, Western’s Jillian Stewart and Whiteoak’s Jillian Lucas. Green coach Melissa Knapp has been named Division VII Coach of the Year.
