COLUMBUS — The Ohio Prep Sports Media Association released its Division VI and VII All-Ohio football teams on Monday, and a number of athletes received top honors.
In Division VI, Rock Hill’s Daniel Medinger and Eastern Meigs’ Mason Shepherd were named first-team All-Ohioans.
Meanwhile in Division VII, Eastern’s trio of Eric Manley, Boston Webb and Brewer Tomlison were all tabbed as first-teamers.
Medinger was the Division VI District Lineman Player of the Year, leading his Redmen to seven wins, including a playoff victory over Dayton Christian. Shepherd guided the Eagles to seven wins and a playoff berth with 62 tackles, 27 for a loss, and 13 sacks.
In DVII, Manley, who was named the District Offensive Player of the Year, led the Eagles to 10 wins and a third-straight Gold Ball, passing for 2,243 yards and 30 touchdowns.
Webb caught 48 passes for 1,218 yards and 20 touchdowns, while Tomlison was the anchor up front, earning Division VII Lineman of the Year honors.
Huntington’s Frankie Hirsch, West’s Anthony Bishop, Eastern Meigs’ Matt Marcum all earned second-team honors in DVI.
Hirsch threw for 1,253 yards and 17 touchdowns, earning District co-Offensive Player of the Year honors, alongside Bishop, who ran for 1,613 yards and 16 touchdowns for the six-win Senators. Marcum was the anchor up front for the Eagles’ seven-win season.
Meanwhile in DVII, Symmes Valley’s Bronx Carpenter and Asher Maynard, Waterford’s Hayden Jones and Dylan McCutcheon, Eastern’s Cade Leist, and South Gallia’s Blaise Davison earned second-team honors.

Carpenter threw for 2,332 yards and 30 touchdowns, while Maynard had 16 rushing touchdowns for the nine-win Vikings. McCutcheon was the anchor of the Wildcats’ offensive line, creating holes for Jones, who ran for 1,096 yards and 12 touchdowns for Waterford.
Leist was the Division VII District Defensive Player of the Year, while Davison had 78 tackles, 12 for loss, for the seven-win Rebels.
Notre Dame’s Luke Cassidy, Trimble’s Luke Orsborne and Symmes Valley’s Jackson Fields were third-team All-Ohio honorees in DVII.
The honorable mention list in DVI is highlighted by Rock Hill’s Brady Murrell, Yaden Bailey and Aaron Workman, West’s Brody Hall, Tilton Rapp and Braden Adkins, Eastern Meigs’ Ethan Edwards and Hayden Wilcoxen, Huntington’s Isaac Taylor and Carson McNeal, Belpre’s Malakai Ensor and Chesapeake’s Philip Thacker.
On the DVII honorable mention list are Eastern’s Jack Montgomery, Trey Kelly, Carson Peters and Grant Havens, South Gallia’s Hunter Wright, Mason Waterhouse and Layne Wright, Manchester’s Braylon Rickett and Joel Blythe, Trimble’s Paul Sharp, Marcus Cable and Bennie Warren, Notre Dame’s Bryce McGraw, Coleman Schaffer and Matthew Hiles, Waterford’s Weston Fairchild, Ryker Hutchins and Colby Richards, Symmes Valley’s Tucker Ross and Caleb Mount and Southern’s Jack Wickline.
