CHILLICOTHE — There was no stopping Cartae Ligon this season. You could only hope to contain him.
And even that was often impossible.
The sophomore standout was the center of Chillicothe’s offensive game plans, rushing for over 2,000 yards and scoring 25 times. He also caught 29 passes for 297 yards and two scores for good measure.
He was the most valuable player to any team in the FAC, and he’s been rewarded as such, earning the FAC Player of the Year honor.
He was joined on the all-FAC list by his teammates Truitt McGlone, Nate Scissum, Trace McAllister and Conner Rutherford, Jackson’s Ryan Seimetz, Jake Allen, Bodhi Wolford, Charlie Woodard and Eli Ray, Miami Trace’s Julian Baker, Adam Guthrie, Cooper Enochs and Cam Morton, Washington’s Aden Osborne, Sam Pfeifer, Matthew Colflesh, Noah Haithcock and Wesley Gibbs, Hillsboro’s Mason Dumpert, Zack Brown and Colin Swackhammer and McClain’s Hudson Lovett and Andrew Roeder.
Gracing the honorable mention list are Jackson’s Dayton Kallner, Jace Sturgill, Thatcher Brown and Jeb Thompson, Miami Trace’s Westin Dawes, Tyler Stevens and Matthew Barnard and Hillsboro’s Jahari Pitts.
