Southern Ohio Sports Authority is presented by OhioHealth.
The District 14 Volleyball Coaches Association released its all-district volleyball teams on Sunday and three All-Ohio caliber names headlined the lists.
Logan Elm’s Claire King, Adena’s Katie Burns and South Webster’s Addison Claxon have all been named their respective Division’s District Player of the Year — King in Division III/IV, Burns in Division V and Claxon in Division VI/VII.
King led the Braves to an 18-5 mark this fall while piling up 320 kills, 188 digs, 59 blocks and 21 aces.
Burns has been magnificent for the SVC-champion Warriors, now at 22-1, while racking up 470 kills, 215 digs, 70 blocks and 30 aces.
And Claxon, for the second time, earned honors for the 13-9 Jeeps with 380 digs, 256 kills and 61 aces.
District Coach of the Year honors have been earned by Waverly’s Rikki Hinshaw in D-III/IV, Adena’s Laura Smith in D-V and both Eastern’s Rhyanna Knauff and Notre Dame’s Katie Dettwiller, who split the award in D-VI/VII.

Division III/IV
Joining King with Division III/IV first-team all-district honors is Circleville’s Ally Thornsley and Addison Edgington, Miami Trace’s Kylie Yeazel, Waverly’s Sidney Johnson and Chillicothe’s Evelyn Hamman.
Second-team honors were earned by Unioto’s Zoie Detwiller and Alyssa Stanley, Hillsboro’s Tylee Davis, Miami Trace’s Lauren Farrens, Logan Elm’s Kennedy Groff, Chillicothe’s Isabella Witte and Waverly’s Taryn Gillott.
Honorable Mention honorees are as follows: Fairfield Union’s Molly Brown, Circleville’s Drew Hoskins, Unioto’s Kinzi Batson and Hillsboro’s Ryan Wagoner.

Division V
Burns is joined on the first-team list by her teammate Kimmy Dalton, Wheelersburg’s Grace Woodward and Ella Chamberlin, Huntington’s Brailee Hauswirth and Zane Trace’s Karlee Snavely.
On the second-team list is Southeastern’s Lily Steele and Kylee Dunn, Piketon’s Ryanne Moore, Minford’s Kerigan Davis, North Adams’ Natalie Ragan and Northwest’s Claire Newman.
Honorable mention selections are as follows: Wheelersburg’s Mylee Jo Gleim and Alyssa Mullins, Zane Trace’s Kerrigan Hill, North Adams’ Paige Evans, Eastern Brown’s Bently Burns, Adena’s Jacey Smith, Westfall’s Adrian Moehl, Huntington’s Lydia Black and Portsmouth’s Sienna Allen.
Division VI/VII
In Division VI/VII, Claxon is joined with first-team honors by Eastern’s Laken Gullett, Notre Dame’s Maycee Ford, Valley’s Katelyn Queen, Western’s Addy Brewster and Fairfield’s Remi Moon.
Second-team honors go to Valley’s Kendyl Christman, Notre Dame’s Lyndsey Schaefer, South Webster’s Avary Claxon, Lynchburg-Clay’s Joslyn Rockey, Eastern’s Aubrey Quillen and West’s Macey Whisman.
The third-team list is highlighted by Clay’s Addie Willis and Elin Shaw, Notre Dame’s Sophie Phillips, South Webster’s Sidney Kesler, Eastern’s Kenleigh Bapst and West’s Braliegh Pistole.
Honorable Mention selections are as follows: Notre Dame’s Bella Rush and Kailee Ogier, Lynchburg-Clay’s Halle Greene, New Boston’s Daisy Hamilton, Paint Valley’s Neveah Conley, Valley’s Mya Williams, Manchester’s Hayden Ridout, Western’s Camilla Banfi, Peebles’ Avia Brumley, Eastern’s Lynnleigh McCollister, and Whiteoak’s Kennadi Storms.
