COLUMBUS — The Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association recently released its All-Ohio softball lists and a number of players from SOSA’s coverage area earned their spots.
Leading the area’s honorees are Hillsboro’s Camryn Spruell and Logan Elm’s Sadie Binkley in Division IV, Wheelersburg’s Catie Boggs and Kaylynn Carter, and Wellston’s Hannah Potts in Division V, West’s Maci Bradford and Fairfield’s Jobey Hattan in Division VI, and Manchester’s Rylie Young and Symmes Valley’s Brenna Tibbs in Division VII — all of whom earned first-team honors.
In Division III, Chillicothe’s CJ Rittinger earned a spot on second-team, while Athens’ Rylee Toadvine earned herself honorable mention honors.
Joining Spruell and Binkley in Division IV was Circleville’s Claire Davis and Fairfield Union’s Adelyn Wolfe, both of whom made second-team, while McClain’s Brie Cummins and Gallia Academy’s Chloe Bennett made honorable mention.
Alongside Boggs, Carter and Potts in Division V was Wheelersburg’s Ava Estep, Adena’s Marly Halcomb and Meigs’ Bella Roush, who all made second-team, while Ironton’s Khamil Martin, Piketon’s Aubrey Heath and Northwest’s Mollyann Runyon carved out a spot on honorable mention.
Bradford and Hattan were joined on the Division VI list by Coal Grove’s Abbie Deeds and Lynchburg-Clay’s Noel Barnhill, who made second-team, while Fairfield’s Rilee Quickle and South Webster’s Addison Claxon made honorable mention.
Lastly, joining Young and Tibbs in Division VII was Eastern Meigs’ Aedre Ault and Southern’s Jaylynn Hupp, who made second-team, while Notre Dame’s Alayla Soard and Trimble’s Joelle Richards made honorable mention.
