The SOC released its all-league baseball and softball teams on Monday.

PORTSMOUTH — The Southern Ohio Conference released its all-league baseball honors on Monday. 

In the SOC I, Notre Dame’s Luke Cassidy and Green’s Landon Kimbler earned co-Players of the Year honors while Green’s Jonathan Knapp earned Pitcher of the Year honors.

Green coach Dave Shoupe was tabbed as the league’s Coach of the Year. 

In the SOC II, Oak Hill’s Eddie Abele is the Player of the Year while Symmes Valley’s Tanner Corn is the Pitcher of the Year. Abele’s skipper, Jason Fitzhugh, was named the Coach of the Year. 

Lastly, for individual accolades, in the SOC III, Valley’s Jaekyn Ridout and South Webster’s Hunter Barnard were named co-Players of the Year while Valley’s Carson Powell and South Webster’s Beninah Andrews earned co-Pitchers of the Year honors.

Jeeps coach Ryan McClintic is the Coach of the Year.  

Joining Cassidy, Kimbler and Knapp on the first-team list in the SOC I are Green’s Blake Smith, Ironton St. Joe’s Evan Aldridge and Landon Rowe, Clay’s Zane Ball and Evan Rider, Notre Dame’s Ethan Kingery, New Boston’s Brayden Craft and East’s Dustin Bailey

Second-team honorees are Green’s Quincy Merrill and Mason Neal, Notre Dame’s Eugene Collins and Carter Ingles, Ironton St. Joe’s Beckham Waginger, New Boston’s Ian Spiess, Clay’s Aiden Ball and East’s Kaiden Huston.

Making the first-team list in the SOC II, alongside Abele and Corn, are Northwest’s Levi Shepherd, Blake Fenton and Andrew Nichols, South Gallia’s Ayden Conwell, Symmes Valley’s Will Jones, Oak Hill’s Andy Meldick, Eastern’s Trey Kelly and Western’s Josh Brewster

On the second-team list in the SOC II are Northwest’s Peyton Bell and Austin Smith, Symmes Valley’s Bronx Carpenter and Braden Hankins, Oak Hill’s Mikie Williams, South Gallia’s Garrett Gipson, Eastern’s Christian Smith and Western’s West Satterfield

Andrews, Barnard, Powell and Ridout were joined on the SOC III first-team list by Wheelersburg’s Brady Doss and Jack Picklesimer, South Webster’s Bryce McClintic, Waverly’s Hunter Hauck, Minford’s J.D. Matiz and West’s Will Kegley

Earning second-team honors in the SOC III are South Webster’s Jacob McGraw and Cole Bennett, Wheelersburg’s Ean Conn and Brody Wilburn, Valley’s Tate Queen and Gabe McNeil,Minford’s Mason Bradley, Waverly’s Wil Armstrong and West’s Isaak Tipton.

SOFTBALL

The SOC also released its all-league softball honors in all three divisions.

In the SOC I, Notre Dame swept the board. Alayla Soard has been named the Player of the Year, Ava Rush is the Pitcher of the Year, and Shad Ford is the Coach of the Year.

Earning first-team honors alongside Soard and Rush are Clay’s Laney Shepherd and Elin Shaw, Green’s Emma Brown and Aliya Bradley, Notre Dame’s Maycee Ford, East’s Hailey Weiss and New Boston’s Justina Williams.

Second team-honors in the SOC I went to Notre Dame’s Maddie Entler and Lyndsey Schaefer, Clay’s Sarah Cassidy and Maddie Carver, East’s Ayden Albrecht, Green’s Peyton Nealand New Boston’s Daisy Hamilton.

Symmes Valley’s Marley Ferguson and Northwest’s Mollyann Runyon were named the SOC II’s co-Players of the Year while Symmes Valley’s Brenna Tibbs is the Pitcher of the Year. Symmes Valley’s Odie Estep has been named as the Coach of the Year.

First-team honors, alongside Runyon, Tibbs and Ferguson in the SOC II go to Eastern’s Leah Rader and Lynnleigh McCollister, Symmes Valley’s Emma Ridenour, Northwest’s Annika Carpenter, South Gallia’s Sydni Hornsby, Oak Hill’s Charissa Krannitz and Western’s Megan Whitley.

Second-team honors go to Symmes Valley’s Lindsey Freeman and Alyssa Waugh, Northwest’s Lauren Copp and Kendra Bostick, Eastern’s Aubrey Quillen, South Gallia’s Kennedy Shamblin, Oak Hill’s Madeline Carper and Western’s Chelsea Ryan.

Meanwhile, in the SOC III, Wheelersburg swept the board as Catie Boggs was named the Player of the Year, Kaylynn Carter the Pitcher of the Year and Teresa Ruby the Coach of the Year.

Joining Carter and Boggs on first-team was Valley’s Braxtyn Holbrook and Kendyl Christman, West’s Maci Bradford and Brooklyn Pitts, Wheelersburg’s Ava Estep, South Webster’s Lauren Kaltenbach, Minford’s Ava Flaig and Waverly’s Lexi Smith

The second-team list is made up of Wheelersburg’s Laken Wright and Mylee Jo Gleim, Valley’s Emilie Barr and Addison Wolfe, South Webster’s Addi Claxon, West’s Erica Whisman, Minford’s Harli Lenegar and Waverly’s Ava Robertson.
