CHILLICOTHE — KB Perkins came back with a vengeance after missing most of last season.
In the biggest spots of Unioto’s season, the Shermans called on their ace and he delivered the goods every single time.
Behind the University of Findlay commit, the Shermans sit at 18-6 overall with a Gold Ball in hand — the program’s first since the late 1990’s.
Perkins is hitting .384 with three home runs alongside 26 RBIs. His dominance on the mound has been showcased with a 7-0 record in 47 innings of work. He’s struck out 72 batters on the year.
Those efforts have earned him the honor of being named the SVC’s Player of the Year.
Perkins’ head coach, Tony Taylor, has been named the league’s Coach of the Year. Taylor picked up his 400th career win this season and now sits at 417 career victories.
