PIKETON — If Aubrey Heath isn’t making something special happen, she’s the loudest one cheering for her teammates to do so.
Heath’s infectious personality and top-tier leadership qualities have helped Piketon reach new levels of success this spring.
Behind their leader, the Redstreaks sit at 21-2 overall with an outright SVC championship in hand. Meanwhile, Heath has hit .604 with a league-leading 11 home runs alongside 33 RBIs and 40 runs scored.
All of those reasons are why she’s been named the SVC’s Player of the Year.
Heath’s head coach, Mark Blakeman, has been named the league’s co-Coach of the Year alongside Adena’s Brad Jadwin.
