WILLIAMSPORT — Put simply, when opponents game-planned for Westfall, they game-planned for Brody Clark.

The Mustangs’ senior and top scoring option was dynamic with the basketball in his hands all year long. His 20.2 points per night was the high mark in the SVC as he paced Westfall to a 14-9 overall mark — the program’s second straight 14-win season.

For those reasons, and more, Clark has been selected as the SVC’s Player of the Year.

Coach of the Year honors have been earned by Matt Hoops, who led his Shermans to a 13-1 mark in league play. Unioto is currently on a 14-game winning streak.

Joining Clark with first-team honors is Zane Trace’s Landen Jarrell, Unioto’s Blake Fitch, Adena’s Joedy Ater and Piketon’s Brent McGuire.

Jarrell is averaging 16.1 points per game this year, Fitch has taken over as the Tanks’ top scoring option late in the season, Ater is posting 13.9 points each night, and McGuire’s 13.8 points per contest lead the Redstreaks.

Paint Valley senior Carson Free, Unioto junior Blake Hoops, Zane Trace junior Landon Robinson, Adena sophomore Lucas King and Southeastern junior Lane Williams make up the five second-team all-SVC selections.

Earning third-team all-league honors were Unioto’s KB Perkins, Huntington’s Noah Potter, Piketon’s Garrett Legg, Westfall’s Jeremiah Layton, Paint Valley’s Braylon Robertson and Adena’s Easton Henness.

Honorable mention selections were as follows: Adena’s Bryson Smith and Cayden Lee, Huntington’s Kelvin Manson and Frank Hirsch, Paint Valley’s Gavin Kingery and Jace Rinehart, Southeastern’s Carter Fisher and Brevin Strausbaugh, Unioto’s Zeke Schobelock and Ashton Crace, Westfall’s Bryan Craig and Henry Barnes, and Zane Trace’s Gunnar McCullough and Brock Jarrell.
