Lemaster, Ream, Sampson headline District 14 Coaches Association all-district teams

WASHINGTON — The District 14 Coaches Association released its All-District teams with a trio of familiar names headlined the list. 

Miami Trace’s Andrew Guthrie is a first-team all-district selection.

In Division II, Washington’s Tanner Lemaster was tabbed as the Player of the Year while Zane Trace’s Xzander Ream and Green’s Levi Sampson earned that same honor in Division III and IV, respectively. 

Lemaster, a University of Kentucky football commit, has led the Blue Lions to 18 wins this season, the outright FAC championship and the top seed in the Division II district tournament. 

Ream helped the Pioneers capture 19 wins alongside the SVC championship in Gold Ball fashion and was named the SVC’s Player of the Year after putting up 21.1 points per game. 

Meanwhile, Simpson led Green to 17 wins alongside the SOC I championship while leading the team with over 24 points per night. 

Joining Lemaster with first-team honors in Division II was teammate John Wall, Circleville’s Briley Cramer, Miami Trace’s Andrew Guthrie and Logan Elm’s Ne’miah Waugh. 

On the second-team list is Unioto’s Blake Hoops, Hillsboro’s Bryce Parsons, Miami Trace’s Bryson Osborne, Washington’s Isaiah Haithcock and Chillicothe’s Tre King

Honorable mention accolades were earned by Chillicothe’s Cayden Lee, Circleville’s Slater Search, Hillsboro’s Tate Davis, Logan Elm’s Drew Tomlinson, McClain’s Seth Weller, Miami Trace’s Isaiah Reisigner, Unioto’s K.B. Perkins, Washington’s Garrett Rickman and Waverly’s Caden Nibert. 

Washington coach Shannon Bartruff is the Division II Coach of the Year. 

Alongside Ream on first-team list in Division III is Minford’s Myles Montgomery, North Adams’ Bransyn Copas, Valley’s Jace Copley and Northwest’s Connor Lintz

The second-team list features Minford’s Bennett Kayser, Lynchburg-Clay’s Brady Chrisman, Portsmouth’s Kenny Sanderlin, Valley’s Colt Buckle and Wheelersburg’s Jackson Schwamburger

The third-team group is highlighted by Westfall’s Casey Cline, Minford’s Joe Hannah, Adena’s Joedy Ater, Zane Trace’s Nalin Robinson, Peebles’ Cory Reed and Portsmouth’s DeAndre Berry

On the honorable mention list is Valley’s George Arnett, Northwest’s Tanner Bolin, Huntington’s Dalton Black, Wheelersburg’s Nolan Wright, Zane Trace’s Kyle Stonerock, Portsmouth’s Tyler Duncan, West’s Ryan Sissel, Southeastern’s Connor Smith, Adena’s Davis Kerns, Eastern Brown’s Caleb Jimison, Lynchburg-Clay’s Ian Waits, Minford’s Jackson Shoemaker, Westfall’s Brody Clark, North Adams’ Jayce Rothwell, Peebles’ Mason Sims and Piketon’s Brent McGuire

Minford coach Josh Shoemaker, who led his team to the SOC II title, was tabbed as Coach of the Year. 

Sampson was joined on the first-team list in Division IV by Western’s Chase Carter, Whiteoak’s Landen Barnett, Paint Valley’s Dax Estep and Fairfield’s T.J. Mootz

The second-team group is made up of Western’s Drew Haggy, Notre Dame’s Dominic Sparks, New Boston’s Myles Beasley, South Webster’s Tyler Sommer and Eastern’s Neil Leist

On the third-team inventory is Manchester’s Connor Darnell, Eastern’s Jace White, Green’s Gabe McBee, East’s Austin Baughman, Notre Dame’s Cody Metzler and Clay’s Malachi Loper

The honorable mention list is comprised of Paint Valley’s Cole Miller, New Boston’s Dalton Jackson, South Webster’s Eli Roberts, Whiteoak’s Carson Emery, Western’s Kam Janes, Manchester’s Drew Kennedy, Clay’s Kenny Fowler, Eastern’s Brewer Tomlinson, Fairfield’s Wyatt Collins, Green’s Abe McBee, Notre Dame’s Landon Barbarits and East’s Landon Pernell

Green’s J.D. King is the Division IV Coach of the Year.
