ZT’s Barnhart, Unioto’s Griffin lead all-SVC football selections

KINNIKINNICK — The Scioto Valley Conference has released its all-league honors and a host of Zane Trace Pioneers top the list.

Zane Trace’s Daniel Barnhart has been named the Offensive Back of the Year and teammate Nalin Robinson is the co-Offensive Lineman of the Year while four other Pioneers have earned all-league honors in Carter Langley, Lane Stewart, Hayden Brannigan and Spencer Brower.

That group spearheaded a perfect regular season, a Gold Ball and a playoff victory over Clark Montessori. The Pioneers finished the season at 11-1 overall.

Also highlighting the all-league list is Unioto’s Matt Griffin, Andrew Griffin and River Pettigrew, Paint Valley’s Dom Chambers and Roman Wisecup and Huntington’s Dalton Black.

Matt Griffin is the SVC’s Defensive Back of the Year, Andrew Griffin is the Punter of the Year, Pettigrew is the Kicker of the Year, Chambers is the Special Teams Player of the Year, Wisecup is the co-Offensive Lineman of the Year and Black is the Defensive Lineman of the Year.

Also earning first-team all-SVC honors is Unioto’s Maddox Fox, Newton Hoops and Nathan Morrison, Piketon’s Gabe Lamerson, Alex Jenkins and Zane Brownfield, Paint Valley’s Braylon Robertson and Cavan Cooper, Huntington’s Quinton Puckett, Adena’s Nathan Dreitzler and Caleb Osborne, Westfall’s Bryce Wickline and Southeastern’s RJ Cartwright.

Honorable mention honors were earned by the following: Adena’s Mason Dyer, David Magill and Randy Daniels, Huntington’s Ryan Marion, Ashton Lindman, DJ Crocker and Braylon Leach, Paint Valley’s Carson Free, Peyton Bell, Camdan Cooper and Colton Yoakum, Piketon’s Caleb Osborne, Dawson Montgomery, Tre Jenkins and Levi Stanley, Southeastern’s Trusten McWhorter, Joey Pfeifer and Ryan Peters, Unioto’s Isaiah Cunningham, Cody Tuttle, Nolan Fox and Casey Dray, Westfall’s Casey Cline, AJ Shoults and Hunter Probasco, and Zane Trace’s Drew Lane, Aidyn Myers, Michael Barrett and Blake Phillips.
