CHILLICOTHE — Sometimes the itch is simply too great to ignore.
After retiring back in 2014 following a 24-year stint as head coach between between Westfall, Oak Hill and most notably Logan Elm, Scott Bartholomew is back in charge.
He was hired as the next head football coach at Chillicothe in a unanimous vote during Monday’s District Board meeting.
Despite being away from head coaching responsibilities for the past seven years, he hasn’t been away from football. He spent that time serving as the assistant football coach under his son, Wade, at Bloom-Carroll where the Bulldogs made back-to-back state semifinal appearances over the past two seasons.
Scott Bartholomew now takes over for Doug Pryor, who in his three years as Chillicothe coach complied a 14-12 record, which included winning the FAC championship in the 2020 season.
