GREENFIELD — All year long, Bri Weller delivered. Whether it was in late-game situations or when her team needed a boost of momentum, Weller was there to provide.
That’s a huge reason why McClain’s center forward was named the Frontier Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
Weller led the Tigers to an overall mark of 16-4 alongside an 8-2 mark in the FAC.
Weller’s teammates Kyla Burchett and Emma Stegbauer also received all-league honors after helping the Tigers split with conferenec champion Miami Trace.
Speaking of Miami Trace, the Panthers had two all-league selections in Magarah Bloom and Gracee Stewart. That duo was a constant source of scoring while MT finished the season at 9-1 in the league. They currently sit at 15-5 overall.
Jackson had two players selected to the all-conference list in T.J. Carpenter and Mattie Walburn while Hillsboro and Chillicothe each had one player earn all-league honors in Gracie Dean and Jacey Harding.
Hillsboro, Washington and Chillicothe have all concluded their seasons while Miami Trace, McClain and Jackson are all still playing in the postseason at the time of publication.
