Jackson’s Boston Kuhn wins Athlete of the Week honors

Kuhn scored 39 combined points in two wins for the undefeated Ironmen.

SOSA Staff Report

JACKSON — So far, so good for the Jackson Ironmen.

In four games this winter, the group is 4-0 with wins over Miami Trace, McClain, Hillsboro and Athens … winning by an average of 11.5 points.

One of the big reasons why that’s been able to happen is Boston Kuhn. Last week, in two wins, Kuhn scored 39 points and was a menace defensively.

For those reasons, Kuhn has been named SOSA’s Athlete of the Week.

Out of 2,462 public votes, Kuhn accounted for 1,017 or 41.3 percent of the total. Adena’s Emma Garrison finished second in the voting with 690, Huntington’s Allison Basye was third with a count of 515, and Zane Trace’s Kyle Stonerock was fourth at 240.

Kuhn received two of the four votes from the guys at SOSA as well.

For his efforts, Kuhn will receive a free t-shirt, thanks to Mile Tree Screen Printing, a free appetizer via Longhorn Steakhouse, and two free Wendy’s combo meals via Schmidt Family Restaurant Group.
