WILLIAMSPORT — For the second year in a row, the Scioto Valley Conference’s Player of the Year award will reside at Westfall.
Following in teammate Kristin Phillips’ footsteps, Westfall junior Marissa Mullins was named the SVC’s POY on Wednesday — on the heels of a season where she’s posted 247 kills, 20 aces, 49 blocks and 209 digs.
Those numbers have aided the Mustangs to a 14-4 record and a second place finish inside the conference.
Meanwhile, defensively, Adena’s Camryn Carroll has won her second consecutive SVC Defensive Player of the Year honor. Carroll, a junior, has amassed 324 digs while averaging 17.1 per match. She also owns 427 serve receptions alongside just 34 reception errors.
Carroll’s defensive efforts helped the Warriors win their first SVC title since 2016, an outright crown at 13-1.
The conference’s Coach of the Year title was awarded to Adena’s Laura Smith, the heralded head coach’s 19th such honor.
