In the past two days, four conference soccer titles have been won … three in girls action and one in boys.

On Monday, Unioto’s girls were the first to win a crown with a 12-1 win over Piketon. In that game, eight different Shermans found the back of the net.

Ashtyn Miller scored four times, Autumn Stanger added a pair of goals and Brandy Robinson, Avery Miller, Jade Fair, Allie Cox, Nikita Miller and Jaidyn McKell all added goals of their own.

The win handed the Shermans (9-3-1, 4-0 SVC) yet another Scioto Valley Conference title and a Gold Ball. The team hasn’t been beat in conference action since 2017.

Unioto is set to end its regular season with dates against Waverly, Jackson and Alexander.

Speaking of Waverly, the Tigers (9-1-1, 7-0-1 SOC II) clinched a share of the Southern Ohio Conference title with a 7-2 win over Minford on Tuesday.

Leading the Tigers to that victory was Zoiee Smith and Loren Moran, the usual suspects, with three and two goals, respectively. Kylie Smith and Amelia Willis were also responsible for scores.

The title is the second consecutive for Waverly after sharing the crown with Wheelersburg last season. The Tigers will now look towards a flurry of games in the coming two weeks, playing against Unioto, Gallia Academy, West, Northwest and McClain.

A win over West on Monday would give Waverly its first-ever outright SOC II crown.

Chillicothe also clinched a share of its conference title on Tuesday, beating McClain by an 11-1 final in the process.

Gemma Maimone, Addie Erslan and Ali Mathis all recorded hat tricks in the win while Emma Fromm and Avery Erlsan also scored.

The Cavaliers (12-1, 8-0) will now have the opportunity to win the title outright with a trip to Jackson on Thursday. Should they win that contest, they’ll then play for a Gold Ball against Washington.

Other than those two contests, Chillicothe also has a non-league match with Marietta left on its schedule.

Unioto’s boys also wrapped up a league title with a 12-0 win over Piketon on Monday.

Both Ethan Kerns and Lucas Hanes paced the Shermans (11-2, 4-0 SVC) with four goals each. Marco Chaves scored his first career goal while JC Stark, Jayce Wingo and Cameron Kendrick added goals as well.

Unioto ends its season with matches against Waverly, Wheelersburg and Alexander.
