In My Own Words: Unioto’s Haley Holt writes to teammates, coaches, parents

Unioto's Haley Holt writes to her teammates, coaches and parents.

*Haley hit .395 with three home runs, 32 RBIs and 15 runs scored as a junior, while she anchored one of the best lineups in the Southeast District. She’s spent most of her time at the third base position while acting as a leader for the Tanks. You won’t find a player who loves the game more than she does.

A thank you to all of my teammates, coaches, parents and supporters …

My teammates,

The last four years playing for the Unioto Softball program with you have been incredible. I’ve learned the true meaning of “teamwork,” and I have my amazing coaches and teammates to thank for that. My team was nothing short of sisterhood. I know they always had my back in any situation.  I want to thank them for giving me the best time of my life on a softball field. Thank you for all the memories and fun times.

To my coaches,

Thank you for being the most supportive and encouraging coaches. You changed the meaning of softball for me. Playing for you is something I’ll never forget. All of the hard practices and games that you guys pushed us through showed us just how much you cared about us. Although we did not get our final year together, I know it would’ve been more amazing than the previous year. You showed us what true, hard work can really achieve. Thank you for always pushing me and believing in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself.

To my parents and supporters,

Thank you for the continuous, never-ending love and support. You all made a difference in the atmosphere during a game. Cheering us on even when we didn’t fully succeed. You mean more to us than you know. You always wanted the best for us, through the good times and bad. Thank you for always being our number one fans.
