CHILLICOTHE — As one of the Scioto Valley Conference’s most versatile athletes last fall, Huntington’s Seth Beeler continued to see success on the gridiron.

Beeler was the focal point of the Huntsmen’ offense while calling the shots at the quarterback position. That’s after spending his junior season as a wide receiver, where he posted a league-high 920 receiving yards alongside 14 touchdowns.

Now, he’ll be able to take his skillset to the next level.

Beeler chose to further his academic and athletic careers on Wednesday, announcing his commitment to the University of Concordia Ann Arbor, via Twitter.

“I chose CUAA because it’s a christian-based school and the coaches there had a deep interest in me so it really drew me in,” Beeler said. “They also have a great program that has had much success over the last three years.”

UCAA is a private lutheran university that sits about 10 minutes outside of downtown Ann Arbor, Mich. The football program is a part of the Mid-States Football Association, a conference in the NCCAA.

Last season, the Cardinals were 8-3 overall with a 4-2 mark in the MSFA Mideast.

“I’m looking forward to the experience and friendships the most,” Beeler said. “[Huntington] Coach [Scott] Keller always tells us to go try something new and get out and see the world. So me going 4 1/2 hours away will definitely let me experience that.”
