UNIOTO 56, ADENA 38

With a double-digit win over Adena on Friday, the Shermans (7-2, 5-0 SVC) stayed atop the conference standings.

Leading Unioto to the win was Isaac Little, who had 14 points, four rebounds and three assists. Cameron DeBord chipped in with 11 points and four assists, Reece Wheeler tallied 10 points and four rebounds, and Cater Markko had four points and eight boards.

For Adena (6-4, 4-1 SVC), Logan Bennett led the way statistically with 16 points and five rebounds. Preston Sykes also helped out, scoring 10 points.

With a win over Piketon on Friday, the Pioneers (8-2, 4-1 SVC) moved into second place in the conference standings.

Cam Evans had 18 points, five rebounds and five steals while Nick Nesser led the team in scoring with 21 points alongside six rebounds and four assists. Bryce Johnson also helped out, scoring 12 points and hitting two 3-point field goals.

For the Redstreaks (5-7, 2-3 SVC), Brody Fuller nailed five triples to lead the team in scoring with 15 points while Tyree Harris matched that scoring figure. Levi Gullion was also in double-digit scoring figures with 10 points.

The Mustangs (5-5, 2-3 SVC) held on to a gritty one-point win over Paint Valley on Friday.

Westfall was led statistically by Jay Wyman, who had 20 points and six 3-point field goals while Lucas Blackburn chipped in with 12 points.

For Paint Valley (3-7, 1-4 SVC), Cordell Grubb led the way with 20 points while Jackson Williams followed with eight of his own.

The Panthers (2-7, 2-3 SVC) got back in the win column Friday, beating Huntington by a 21-point margin.

Both Aaron Gillum and Derek Wheeler led Southeastern in scoring with 15 points each while Jaylen Murta and Aaron Evans scored 11 of their own.

Seth Beeler led the Huntsmen (1-7, 0-5 SVC) in scoring with a game-high 19 points while Caleb Smith had 10.

With a nine-point win over Minford on Friday, the Pirates (7-0, 5-0 SOC II) remained undefeated this season.

Carter McCorkle scored a game-high 18 points for Wheelersburg while Michael Miller, Eli Swords and J.J. Truitt all had double-digit scoring performances with 13, 12 and 11 points.

Minford (5-4, 3-3 SOC II) was led in scoring by Nathan McCormick with 16 points while Trenton Zimmerman added nine points on three 3-point field goals.

Zeke Brown’s 18 points paced the way for Waverly (7-2, 4-1 SOC II) to win again on Friday.

Brown’s performance was joined by Will Futhey’s double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds, Tanner Smallwood’s 17-point, eight-rebound outing, and Trey Robertson’s seven points and six rebounds. Michael Goodman also helped out, scoring 11 points and grabbing four rebounds.

WESTERN 71, GREEN 66

After outscoring Green 15-5 in the second quarter, Western (2-5, 2-3 SOC I) got back in the win column with a five-point win over the Bobcats.

The Indians were led in scoring by Maverick Ferneau with 18 points, followed by Broc Jordan with 12, Noah Whitt with 11 and Coleman Gibson with 10.

For Green (5-5, 1-4 SOC I), Gage Sampson had 18 points while Levi Singleton added 15. Levi Sampson also helped out, scoring 14 points.

In a big-time SOC I matchup, New Boston (9-0, 5-0 SOC I) stayed perfect on the year with a pivotal 12-point win over Ironton St. Joe.

The Tigers were led by Kyle Sexton’s 26 points, 14 rebounds and four steals, while Jerome McKinley had eight points and 13 rebounds.

Ironton St. Joe (8-2, 4-1 SOC I) was led by Ryan Payne with a 15-point outing.

The Cavaliers (10-1) continued their dominance this season with a 26-point win at Alexander on Friday.

Jayvon Maughmer led the team in scoring with 17 points, a game-high as well, while Brandon Noel chipped in with 13 points. Kam Smith was also a factor, scoring 12 points.

CIRCLEVILLE 59, MCCLAIN 53

McClain (3-7) suffered a non-conference loss to Circleville on Friday, falling by a six-point margin.

Bryson Badgley led the Tigers in scoring with 21 points while Preston Saunders had 14.
