Paint Valley makes jump to top of Division VI, Region 24 as seven local teams included in OHSAA computer rankings

Seven local teams are ranked in the top four of their respective region.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association released its weekly computer ratings this week and seven different teams in SOSA’s coverage area ranked in the top four of their respective region.

Starting the list, in Division III, Region 11, Jackson (7-0) is the No. 3 ranked team with 15.2429 points, just behind Jonathan Alder and Bishop Hartley.

In Division IV, Region 15, Waverly (6-1) holds down the No. 3 spot as well with 13.1286 points after beating Lucasville Valley this past week 51-7.

Wheelersburg (4-3) is also at No. 3 in the Division V, Region 19 rankings with 12.0071 points while Minford (6-1) sits at No. 4 in the region with 11.0429 points.

Further down the list, Paint Valley (6-1) is at the top of the the Division VI, Region 24 standings with 12.3214 points after Friday’s 41-7 win over Unioto.

The Bearcats take the place of Adena (6-1), who drops to the No. 2 spot with 11.1214 points. Trailing both Paint Valley and Adena is Southeastern (7-0), which sits at No. 3 in the region with 11.1071 points.
