Adena surges to top spot, Minford and Wheelersburg both ranked in latest OHSAA computer ratings

Eleven different teams in SOSA's coverage are are included in the latest OHSAA computer ratings.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association released its weekly computer ratings this week and 11 teams in SOSA’s coverage area were included in the top 12 of their region.

In Division III, Jackson (6-0) and Unioto (4-2) are included in Region 11 ratings. The Ironmen sit at No. 5 with 11.9167 points while the Tanks are at No. 12 with 7.7667 points. The Waverly Tigers (5-1) are No. 4 in Division IV, Region 15 with 9.9167 points.

After their overtime classic last week, both Minford (5-1) and Wheelersburg (3-3) are still rated in Division V, Region 19. The Falcons come in at No. 3 with 9.7833 points while the Pirates sit at No. 5 with 9.4333 points. Oak Hill (3-3) is also rated in the region, at No. 11 with 5.6667 points.

Ironton (5-1) and Portsmouth (5-1) are also listed in Division V, Region 19. The Fighting Tigers are at No. 2 while the Trojans stand at No. 6.

In Division VI, Region 24, three local teams claim the top three spots. Adena (5-1) is the top-rated in team in the region with 10.2 points, Southeastern (6-0) sits at No. 2 with 9.9333 points, and Paint Valley (5-1) follows both at 9.2 points. Valley (4-2) is rated ninth in the region with 6.1 points.

The final rated team in the coverage area is Symmes Valley (5-1), which comes in at No. 7 in Division VII, Region 27 with 5.6718 computer points.
