Chillicothe 757’s offense comes alive in rout of Logan 78

Post 757 picked up its second win this summer in a rout Friday night.

SOSA Staff Report

LOGAN — Behind a combined 16 hits, Chillicothe Post 757 earned its second win of the summer Friday evening.

The Colts (2-3) topped Logan Post 78 on the road by a 14-2 final in six innings.

Caleb Foglesong led the Colts’ offense with three hits, two of which were doubles, three RBIs and two runs. Brayton Felger also helped out, logging a pair of hits alongside a double, an RBI and two runs scored.

But Foglesong and Felger were far from the only roster members to have multiple hits.

Cole Ratcliff, Jared Hall and Tyler Rood all had two base hits and an RBI each while Hall and Rood also scored two runs. Harley Patterson and Brandon Barker tallied two RBIs a piece while Josiah Richendollar, Sam Frazier and Sam Walsh also pounded out base hits.

On the hill, Patterson threw two innings, struck out four and didn’t allow a runner to reach base. Combined, 757 had four pitchers throw a four-hitter.

The Colts are back in action Monday evening, hosting Waverly 142 in their home opener at Hoffman Field. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m.
