SOSA Staff Report

CHILLICOTHE — Coming into Thursday’s SOC II contest with South Webster, veteran Waverly coach Jeff Noble stood at 399 career wins.

And with a 12-1 victory over the Jeeps at VA Memorial Stadium, Noble earned win No. 400, furthering a legendary career on the diamond.

Noble was inducted into the Southeast District Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame on June 8, 2015 — becoming the second Waverly baseball coach to earn the honor, following in the footsteps of Tom Monroe.

This season, Noble’s Tigers now sit at 11-3 overall this season with a 7-1 SOC II mark. Noble will look for win No. 401 against Unioto this coming Saturday.
