OPSWA releases Division I and II girls basketball All-Ohio teams

The Division I and II girls basketball All-Ohio teams were announced Tuesday by a statewide media panel.

COLUMBUS — The Division I and II girls basketball All-Ohio teams were announced Tuesday by a statewide media panel. The teams were selected by members of the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association.

Three area athletes, coming from the Frontier Athletic Conference and the Scioto Valley Conference, were mentioned on the list.

Washington’s Hannah Haithcock, the Division II Southeast District Player of the Year, earned first-team All-Ohio honors after leading her Blue Lions to a district championship and scoring 17 points per game.

Unioto’s Jocie Fisher earned Special Mention All-Ohio honors after scoring 15.9 points per game this season.

Earning Special Mention All-Ohio recognition were both Miami Trace’s Shay McDonald and Unioto’s Jocie Fisher.

Washington’s Rayana Burns, Waverly’s Zoiee Smith and McClain’s Kayla Burchett were also honored, receiving Honorable Mention accolades.
