Haithcock, Scott and Dettwiller headline OPSWA all-Southeast District girls hoops selections

The Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association released its 2018-19 all-Southeast District girls basketball lists early Friday morning

CHILLICOTHE — The Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association released its 2018-19 all-Southeast District girls basketball lists early Friday morning and Washington’s Hannah Haithcock, Lynchburg-Clay’s Peyton Scott and Notre Dame’s Katie Dettwiller led the way.

Haithcock was named the Division II Southeast District Player of the Year while Scott and Dettwiller earned that title in Divisions III and IV.

Before a season-ending loss to New Philadelphia, Haithcock led her Blue Lions to a district championship, beating state-ranked Vinton County to do so. Haithcock, a Southern Indiana commit, played a key tole in back-to-back 20-win seasons as well.

Scott, a Miami (OH) commit, broke just about every record possible en route to leading her Mustangs to a district runner-up finish. She ended her senior year averaging 27.5 points and 10.9 rebounds per game, and as the school’s all-time leading scorer — boys or girls.

As for Dettwiller, who led the Titans to a second consecutive district title, the 6-foot-4 senior boasts averages of 16.3 points and 8.5 rebounds per contest. Those numbers go alongside 4.3 blocks per night.

Here are the full versions of each all-Southeast District team — Divisions II, III and IV — with athletes and coaches from the Frontier Athletic Conference, Scioto Valley Conference, Southern Ohio Conference and Southern Hills Athletic Conference highlighted in bold:
