Jackson’s Jones, Hillsboro’s Spruell earn FAC POY awards, all-league teams released

The FAC released its all-league baseball and softball teams on Saturday.

The Frontier Athletic Conference announced its all-league baseball and softball teams on Saturday with a familiar duo headlining the list.

Jackson’s Gaven Jones and Hillsboro’s Camryn Spruell have been named the league’s baseball and softball Players of the Year.

Jones led the Ironmen to a 10-0 mark in league play while Spruell helped her Indians do the same.

It’s the second consecutive POY award for Jones while Spruell claims the title for the third straight season.

Joining Jones with first-team all-FAC baseball honors are teammates Tucker Williams, Noah Ernst and Ryan Seimetz, Miami Trace’s Gaige Stuckey, Brody McBee and Gage Bowers, Washington’s Will Miller and Aden Osborne, Chillicothe’s Mason Brown and McClain’s Cohen Six.

Honorable mention honors were earned by Miami Trace’s Jameson Hyer and Austin Brown, Washington’s Gavin Coffman and Hillsboro’s Zach Brown.

Spruell is joined by teammates Isabelle Brunck and Chloe Roberts on the first-team all-FAC softball list, as well as Jackson’s Lillie Eberts, KJ Worsham and Maddie Wright, Chillicothe’s CJ Rittinger, Vivian Morgan and Cadie Boltenhouse, McClain’s Brie Cummins, and Miami Trace’s Dylaney Templin.

The softball honorable mention honoree are Hillsboro’s Meredith Dietrick, Jackson’s Izzy Swisher, Washington’s Hailey Lemaster and Miami Trace’s Gracie Cordell.
